For many years, SDD has been involved in providing handicapped people with work via local support groups. Companies that aim to stimulate the labour participation of vulnerable groups in the labour market in a sustainable and high-quality manner use the independent Dutch PSO certification organisation to achieve this. 

SDD has achieved the highest ranking that is awarded by this organisation and has received a certificate which confirms this. One of the criteria for achieving certification is that at least 30% of the employees of these sheltered workshops, companies or programmes are disabled or disadvantaged employees.

After receiving the certificate, Roland Oudsen, CEO of SDD said “It’s important to look at what people can do and what they like to do. Then, we’ll teach them the rest. This is an important step forward for SDD and confirms our ability to evolve the business in a socially responsible way. And, in our 25th anniversary year, that is a supreme accomplishment”.

DSEI 2023, London.

Featuring over 2,800 defence and security suppliers – including major prime manufacturers plus more than 230 new exhibitors. DSEI is the event in bringing governments, the armed forces and the wider industry together. AMR Europe and #SDD from the Netherlands are showing 3D-Printing on #Cubicon, #3DGENCE and #Markforged and the way they implement 3D-printed parts in their machines. It was busy, busy, busy at the Hunkeler Innovation Days 2023! And SDD showcased its latest finishing products in conjunction with its printer vendor partners.

Kyocera featured a complete online SDD booklet maker solution which transformed printed pages into trimmed, professional-looking booklets. This provided the automatic solution that more and more customers are seeking. That was, indeed, the ‘hot topic’ of the event: customers were eager to find solutions that provided a high degree of automation.

At Riso, SDD showed a Press Trim Module line. This is a lower cost finishing system which significantly improves the appearance of booklets emerging from the printer. For example, it makes them flatter, meaning that they are easier to handle and distribute.

In Lucerne in February, SDD will be showcasing High End Booklet Maker System “TaskJet Pro” in combination with Kyocera TASKalfa Pro 15000c cut sheet inkjet printer.
